Welcome!
My name is Rayana Wilder and thank you for joining me, on what I like to call, my educational travels! Here is a little about myself. I was born in Washington State, then I moved to Barstow CA, then Grass Valley CA, and finally Las Vegas. I have been in Las Vegas for about six years now and here I finally decided what I wanted my career path to be. Since I was a child I loved art and was always doing something artistic. It was one of my coping mechanisms if I was feeling a little dismayed, or I just drew because I was happy. It was my outlet to express everything about myself, including all of my emotions.
I made the clear decision to become an art teacher and major in secondary education to able to teach students how to channel themselves through creativity as well. In that stage in life it is a great time to teach them how to build themselves up, and prepare them for the real world. It is imperative for students to learn how to use their talents, and look into what they want to do in life, so they won't be stuck later. During my time in college I have learned plenty of new things and been apart of some new activities as well. These activities include an art show I was apart of at CSN, which is shown in the picture above, and BSU. I will be finishing up my associates degree by the end of this year and most likely transferring over to UNLV to work on my bachelors. I can't wait to finish this excursion and start a new on when I am finally doing what I enjoy.
Here in this website is an archive of all of my artifacts that I have obtained throughout my journey through the education program. You will see what I have learned and how I will use the information I have gained to teach our future generations. I truly hope you enjoy and thank you again for browsing through!
